Heidi Nobles

Heidi Nobles, assistant professor in Writing and Rhetoric, is a writing studies specialist with a background in both teaching and book editing. She joined WAC at the University of Virginia in Fall 2019 as associate director, stepping into the director role in Fall 2023. In the classroom, she teaches courses in mixed-methods research and interdisciplinary writing, writing and cognition, and contemporary book publishing. As WAC director, Heidi works in WAC research on and beyond Grounds and spearheads faculty development initiatives across UVA.
